The Max. Operating Temperature is 200 degrees Celsius.
With properties of solid material, stable performance, good cost performance ratio, the application is extremely wide.
However, its chemical activity is strong; it must be coated. (Such as Zn, Ni, electrophoresis, passivation, etc.).
The size and weight of device can be decreased manyfold with sintered ndfeb magnet instead of other permanent magnets. So we can have thin iphone and ipad.
Due to resource-rich of neodymium, compared with samarium-cobalt, to use cheap iron replace expensive Cobalt makes the products affordable also to obtain a very wide range of applications.
However, caused by dysprosium and other raw materials’ prices skyrocketing, parts of user begin to consider samarium cobalt replacing the high temperature sintered NdFeB.
The maximum magnetic energy product of samarium cobalt probably equals to N30-33 range, but the maximum operating temperature can be 250-350 degrees Celsius.
